Yesterdays Pictures Are Old News

Have you ever been with a band from the beginning?
I'm not talking first cd, not even first ep...I'm not talking MCR since bullets. I mean from the beginning.

I haven't, but I would love to. If I would have been in to Motion City Soundtrack in 98 when they formed(instead of childishly listening to Brittany Spears and Backstreet Boys at age 7) I would have. Obviously,  I wasn't there.

Some members of MCS (Including the beautiful vocals of Justin Pierre) are in a new side project called Farewell Continental. They have a single song up on their myspace "Do You Wanna Tangle?". The second I heard it, I fell in love(without you, haha, get it?) and have been listening to it on repeat ever since(not an exaggeration, I promise). They played a song in Minneapolis on the 4th for $7 and I would have died to go. Their frist show.

This Saturday they're playing in La Crosse at The Warehouse. Second show EVAR. 

I think from reading this you might be able to tell that I not only want to go, but I NEED to go. This is a chance to redeem my 7 year old self by finally seeing them(but not really them) from the start(but not really the start). I promise you I will go there. If Andi can't go with I will just have to bribe a stranger... :D

EDIT: Did a lil more research. I guess they've been around for a few months and have played a few other shows that I could find. Either way, still cool.

I don't usually come on Buzznet begging for help and music, but this is Motion City Soundtrack related, this is important. Slide Coaster is a band that Justin Pierre did vocals for before MCS and I would really love to hear said music. I can only find one copy of the band located here. The problem is, it's a .rar and I don't have the software to convert it to a .zip folder so I can actually listen to it. 

If anyone has the software and would like to download, convert, and post/send it to me I would love you more than forever. Or, if you know a reliable safe site to convert it or download the software so that I can convert it. Either way, that would be super duper brilliant and I would oober love you fo shizzle rizzle.
