Yesterdays Pictures Are Old News

This was taken a little less than a year before he died. He died on Halloween of 82 when my Dad was just a teenager.

He died an alcoholic, and that combined with smoking is what killed him. He is one of the reasons I don't do that kind of stuff. He spent nearly every day of his life at the bar or with friends drinking. When he ended up in the hospital only 2 of his so called 'friends' visited him or even cared. I'm not going to die like that, for what? A few nights of fun. That stuff isn't going to take my life too.

I never got to meet him but I always wonder what he would think of me and what he would be like. I wish I could have known him. It's awkward to say you miss someone I've never met, but I do.

I'm not having a Thanksgiving party. No Christmas party, and only a small possisbillity of my Birthday this year.

I'm done prepaying, planning, decorating, organizing entire parties for people who are going to talk shit about me behind my back at my own party and then act like nothings wrong. I'm done doing things for people who break the rules that all rest on my shoulders.

If I say nothing illegal, nothing too disruptive, and no burning/breaking/vandilizing things, I mean it. It all rests on my shoulders becuase my name and my mom's name is on the contract for the buliding, my parents trust, my own concious is on the line and that means nothing to anyone there. I'm done trying to please people.

I am beyond upset right now - fuck my so called 'friends'

Basically, Buzznet, I'm asking you to cheer me up and make me forget a world of hate.

K, so for sociology our final term project is due Thursday. The teacher is not great at explainging things and hasn't given us much work time(excuses excuses) anyways in my group I'm in charge of putting together showing positive effects of music. That means I need clips of musicians speaking about positive affects and other people talking about that kind of thing, music videos with a positive effect or representation society, music that talks about issues and change and all that jazz.

I am horrible at finding videos that apply. I found one of that one guy Serj Tankin or somethin(no clue) talking about how music inspires people - i need more stuff like that.

If you know any videos off hand and could just pass em on to me that would be wonderful

Also; does anyone know a fast way to download youtube videos without installing anything on my computer?

So I already wrote this blog and then when it comes up and is supposed to say "Journal was saved" it said that I hadn't entered any content so here I am, writing it again.

Yesterday, Andi, Evan, Amber, and Vicky picked me up at 4:30. I was supposed to meet them at Walgreens but I didn't know - oops. I had all my stuff ready. Both of my cameras, extra batteries, and other stuff. I was so ready, so excited, and so nervous.

We got there at 5:50ish and I went to pick up my photopass and ticket. The guy working the box office was incredibly attractive, however he said that the Epitaph list never showed up and no list with with my name on it was present. He told me to check back later and I did a few times - no luck. Some other girl and I had to leave our cameras there, Vicky snuck my small old one in. I was nearly in tears as I walked back to the car to get the drink ticket to get in cheaper. I saw whatshisface(keyboards) from Sing It Loud but didn't talk to him. I'm trying not to be upset about the whole situation becuase I can't really change it. I can only hope that my other requests will be answered and perhaps work out.

This is the only near decent picture I got. I only had 50 available shots so I really didn't bother after Sing It Loud.

I got in and found mah frenz right away(thanks to Evans handy mohawk). As soona s the band started I pretty much seperated from them and moved from the middle right to the front left. Now, I'm not very bitchy at shows - but I was in a miserable mood at this point so that is what I blame my bitchiness on. So these girls were fighting over a drumstick from Sickboy and I decided to join. It ended up between me and this girl and her friends helping her. I pulled it back as far as I could so she stepped forward. I let go and took her spot. Bitchy, I know....but whatever. Her and her friends were all threating to fight me and stuff but didn't do a thing. Sing It Loud was good though I didn't pay too much attention becuase I was just moving around.

Hit The Lights started their set with the song of the same name by like..Christina Milian or something XD

I stayed in the same general area for Hit the Lights and Forever the Sickest Kids. I don't listen to either of them, but they were both pretty good.

G A B E got me high. Trufax.

I stayed in the same place for the first few songs of Cobra Starship too, then I decided I would go back to where we originally started. I founded Evan and Jake and we moshed for a while. Then they started lifting girls up to crowdsurf and Jake decided it was a great idea to crowd surf me without asking. They lift me up and were about to pass me on but I begged him to let me down - I have yet to crowdsurf, I'm not exactly light, and the crowd is made up of mostly weak girls. If or when I crowdsurf it will be at a Motion City Soundtrack or Say Anything show becuase they have a larger guy fanbase. Anyways...Gabe pointed out Evan in the crowd becuase he had a mohawk and that was pretty sweet.

Afterwards I picked up my camera and we waited outside on the sidewalk with everyone. We started playing a game of red rover with some kids on the sidewalk next to the busy street. Bad Idea. I went first and knocked Andi Vicky and Evan into the street. Oops! Also while waiting I saw a girl and she looked so familar I couldn't figure out who she was. I realized she was on stage with me during Motion City at Warped. Good stuff. I saw a lot of people I know from shows there.

Alex is an oober cutie.

I was laughing or talking or both so I look like EHhhfmme!

Alex Saurez came out and we talked to him and got pictures. Him and Evan hugged and talked about guy on guy love haha. We also talked to the blond kid from Forever The Sickest Kids(Kyle) and he was really funny and nice....and adorable. We left soon after that.

I didn't know you can rent dvds from a giant box?

We stopped at Walgreens and went home. The End.

The Epitaph list never showed up at the box office, and niether did any list that had my name on it. I had to leave my camera at the door and I sneaked in my old camera with only 50 some shots on it and couldn't get a single decent one since I was constantly smooshed. I tried to make the best of my night but did some pretty bitchy things. It was a pretty miserable time until I found Jake and Evan and they picked me up to go crowd surfing til I begged em to put me down cuz I didn't want to go. Then after we played Red Rover in the parking lot/street with some random kids and met Alex Saurez and that blond kid from FTSK. Well I suppose I'll just have to keep on trying with the photopass thing...and write a sad and upset letter to that man at epitaph.

Okay, by pros I actually just mean people who know their stuff about cameras and might be able to help me out. I'm looking for a nice camera, 10 megapixels with a good zoom. I've decided that and Advanced Digital Camera would be best becuase I'm looking for something relativly inexpensive. I've found 3 that seem pretty decent but they all seem to be the same with a few minor differences and different prices.
