hm...am I the only one who see's Chris Farely(when he's playing that chick...) in this? HAH! This is my favorite, cuz Chris Farely is my favorite, so indeed. woohoo.

So, Forever the Sickest Kids are coming to my school to talk to the journalism classes. I'm in Journalism 2, and we already had a feild trip scheduled for the same day so we have to go to that instead. This means that one of the kids who just started journalism, most of which don't even listen to cool music or have the ability to write a good article or review will be doing the write up on the event and it will most likely get in the paper just becuase of how cool it is for our school to have a band come. Kind of like, if we hadn't had a snow day the day mtv's MADE came.

I write most of our schools entertainment peices, and music related articles, I did all last year and this year Melton said I could focus on mostly that - I realize that to make it into the first issue I will have to step my game seeing as there is already a spot garunteed to best FTSK article.

It's only the 3rd week of school and Chris has been ripping on me since before it even started saying that music articles were unimportant and the only thing more unneccessary than them were sports reviews. Chris is a douchebag, we have a love/hate relationship. We love to hate eachother.

These things combined have lead me to my next article idea. I'm going to write about how media/celebrities are affecting the youth vote in this election. It's a good story, unique for our highschool, relevant to the world and recent events, about music culture AND it's important :D Heck yes, I rule for sure.

If anyone has any ideas, or knows a lot about who's speaking out on the vote this year, I'd love to know about it. And do you think this is a good article, or am I just excited becuase it's something to write about music that isnt' a review? haha

Andi got to my house sometime around 1:30 and we got to Chicago really quick. The area was really nice, I loved everything about it. While we were walking around we saw a gigantic head!

Once we found the venue, we called John(ounceofwentz) and he said he would be there in a bit. Meanwhile, we walked around looking for someplace that had a public restroom. We found a cute little cafe called The Gallery Cafe that had meals named after artists. It was cool. We also saw two people inside with oober mini laptops, seriously they were teeny tiny, you don't even know!

We walked back to the venue and waited in line, a while later I saw John across the street and he saw us and we all waved frantically. Then when he got to us we all hugged and were all happy eachother were real! John is such a sweetie!!!

Once he got there, we walked through the line and promoted Buzznet, that was cool.

The doors opened and we were on the guest list, that was exciting! And cuz we got the x's on our hands which was so oldschool straightede, I love it!

Oh, and also, right before we got in, John and I each found a penny, face up, it was our lucky night :D

We got in and went into the crowd. It was a teeny tiny venue, so we were close to the front. Team Work played first and they were really good and fun, and I loved them. They had free cds so that's spectacular, and I can't wait to listen to it!

In the crowd we took a picture, but I have horrible aim when I'm taking a picture with more than myself in it, so it just got Andi and John, but it sure is a cute picture!

We let a group of girls in front of us after their set. Theives and Villians played next and we jumped around and danced a whole bunch! I enjoy Theives and Villians but only really really like/know four or five songs, and they didn't play my favorite; Shimmer.

After that, we left the crowd and Andi and John bought some merch(both after saying they didn't want to spend money) we met a bunch of peoples in the bands and John was so excited, it was adorable!

We went upstairs to look for Kerrie (hidedontseek) and found her. We couldn't see to great up there, so we went back downstairs. Andi and I were right at the bottom of the staircase and John kinda lost us and went to hang out in back. Holiday Parade were AMAZING I love them even more now, and I really want to see them again. I wish their show at Mojoes wasnt on a Thursday! They came into the crowd a lot and were really into it. They also did a rap song that was a bunch of other rap songs and it was hilarious.

After their set, we walked back and found John. Never Shout Never played next. There were a fuckamazillion fangirls there for him. It was insane how loud they screamed whenever they saw him. At one point during a different bands set, he peekd his head over the balcony to watch and all you could hear was a high pitched scream. Scary. He is good, and he is really cute, but he isn't THAT incredibly great.

John had to leave right after his set becuase he had to back to his dorm by 10. We went upstairs so he could say goodbye and we could get pictures.

Hanging out with John was definetly the best part of the show, and I can't wait til we can all hang out again!!!

Andi and I decided to stay up on the balcony for the last band. After NSN most of the crowd left and I felt really bad for the final band. All of the fangirls decided to mob Chris and all were up on the balcony before he was even out of the VIP section, it was crazy how in love and obsessed they were for an 18 year old kid, who isn't really even famous. It was scary, and I felt sorry for him becuase he couldn't even escape them beucase there really wasnt a backstage area.

The Graduate was the final band, maybe they were kind of boring or maybe it was becuase we were on the balcony, or maybe becuase it was we were both tired, but Andi and I left a few songs in. They were good, they just weren't very interesting to watch.

Before leaving I bought a Holiday Parade shirt that's yellow and says Dude a bunch of times XD We talked to the singer for a while and both got a picture with him. He was really nice.





Then we left and found Andi's mom right outside. We stopped at the Oasis on the way home but after that we were so tired we were pretty much out, haha. Great Night.
