Went to Becki and Lee's wedding on Saturday. IT WAS THE GEEKIEST WEDDING OF ALL TIME. Becki walked down the aisle to a song from Legend of Zelda, and they walked together to a song from Super Smash Bros. There were dragons and fairies on tables, a blowup D20 on the dance floor, and instead of a guest book there was a CD binder and blank CDs to write messages on. It was insane, but still super classy and I loved it. I knew they were high school sweethearts, but I didn't realize they'd been best friends since they were 6 years old!
Here I am with Julia and Adam. It was fun to see Becki and Lee of course, Julia, Adam, Chris, Kim, and Evan! Those were the only people I knew there, but I met a couple of cool guys and will hopefully be seeing one of them again soon if I get some guts. No guts no glory, right?
Anyway, all my friends there said I've changed a lot. I don't think it's for the bad, but they were surprised. I realized it is true to a degree though, I'm more grown up and calm, more confident and self-assured. However, as of this morning, I'm realizing how I always too often put my everything into my friends, whether or not they do the same for me, so I'm making some changes with my friends here in Kenosha and trying to branch out and regain that independence I've always had.
